A redesigned website, improved replay playback, new match analysis tools, richer visual effects, and a better mobile experience. Discover what's new on ballcam.tv.

A new version of ballcam.tv is live! Over the past few days, we’ve been improving everything from replay playback and match analysis to the stadium, visual effects, and mobile experience.

Here’s what’s new:

  • A redesigned website. A new homepage, refreshed replay and player pages, cleaner libraries, and improved navigation. Recent community clips are now featured on the homepage, making it easier to discover what other players are creating.

  • A more detailed stadium. Improved daytime and nighttime lighting, updated materials, animated crowds and flags, stadium signage, and scenery beyond the arena. Boost pads have also received a visual upgrade.

  • New and improved effects. Car and ball impacts now produce flashes and sparks. Jumps create a burst of smoke aligned with the ground, wall, or ceiling, while flips leave white trails attached to the car’s body. Boost flames are softer and more dynamic, with particles distributed evenly between exhausts.

  • Better replay playback. We’ve revisited how replay data is interpreted, improving the timing of car and ball movement to reduce some of the small jolts visible in difficult recordings. Goal explosions, ball visibility after goals, kickoff positions, and demolition counting have also received fixes. Some recordings still show imperfections, but this is a meaningful step forward.

  • More ways to analyse a match. Replay pages now bring together territorial pressure, player heatmaps, boost history, match statistics, and player comparisons. Select a moment to watch it in the viewer or use it as the starting point for a clip.

  • More interactive Watch Together sessions. Shared viewing now includes reactions, timestamped chat messages, moments to revisit, and “Rewatch” votes, alongside camera-following and host controls.

  • A better mobile experience. Improved portrait and landscape framing, touch controls, responsive layouts, and lighter graphics help make replays easier to watch on phones and tablets. Automatic graphics selection has also been improved.

  • Performance and stability fixes. We’ve fixed a recurring freeze caused by jump-effect surface detection, addressed black flashes in Ultra quality, and improved server responsiveness while processing large replays.

The replay quality FAQ has also been rewritten and redesigned to explain why recording quality varies, what the quality score means, and what the player can—and cannot—correct.

Existing replays will gradually receive the updated processing when opened. If you already have ballcam.tv open, apply the available app update to get the latest changes.

Thanks for the feedback, replay examples, and bug reports—they’ve helped identify and improve some particularly tricky issues. Keep them coming!
